Jelita Ostrich Farm, Seremban
This farm is actually located inside Jabatan Perkhidmatan Veterinar in Seremban.
The farm has emus, ostrich, goat, turkey and rabbit.
Ostrich is very sensitive to a lot of thing (such as water, sound etc) when they are below 6 months old, so we only see those ostrich above 7 months old. They are not a smart animal and they only know how to go straight. They are usually not aggressive unless you provoke them.
We are giving the opportunity to stand on the ostrich bird egg which can support human weight (usually) and the ride an ostrich.
They show us Ostrich Racing too. As ostrich only know how to go straight line, the rider would need to cover the ostrich’s right eye if they want the ostich to go left and vice versa.
Basically the tour took an hour and very educational. My children love it.
